Note: 1/23/11 A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I had to choose a pen name on the fly. "Erin" worked for me. I liked it, grew to love it, and after a while I felt more like an "Erin" than my real name. But time passes and things happen and life changes and you look around and realize that you aren't the same person you were a decade, or more, ago. When I chose a new name for my LJ, I had no idea that that name would become more me than my old pen name. But it has and while it's not an identity I occupy as much as I did "Erin," I doubt I'll ever have another "identity" I do that with. I've grown, matured, and while I still think a pen name is a necessary precaution online, I no longer seperate my online and RL lives as much as I once did. I don't need two distinctly seperate identities anymore, so "Mythdefied" is pretty much me, not some different split personality persona.

Upshot is, I've replaced "Erin" with "Mythdefied" on most every story (and it really felt weird putting my new pen name on some of my older, distinctly crappier stories), except for at least once where graphics were involved. I don't write much anymore, but this felt important enough to me to go to the trouble.

Note on feedback (because I don't know where else to stick this): I'm always open to both feedback (I liked/didn't like the story because....) and constructive criticism (pointing out grammar/plot/characterization problems). I'm not one of those writers who mistakes those things for flames, so no worries about me going psycho on you for daring to point out something you didn't like or a technical problem with the writing. In fact, I'll probably thank you for finding problems. I have a thick skin and always want to learn more; I want to make my writing better. Any help offered towards achieving that is always gratefully accepted.

2008

December 25:  I feel like I need a drum roll or a big sparkly banner or something for this. For the first time ever, I've managed to post all of a long standing WIP. The formerly untitled Herc/Strife story now has a title; Shackled is off the WIP page and on the main Herc-Xena fic page under "series" (because, of course, I have a few more afterthoughts to add, eventually). It took four years to finish it and (due to a sucky RL) more months to post it than I would've liked, but it's finally done. Enjoy.
