Comments and Disclaimers for "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Tartarus"

A/N: I wrote the first part of this in response to a challenge issued on the Strife_lust mailing list back in October of '98. Here were the requirements:

  • Auto
  • Strife
  • Heavy bondage (large chains, manacles, that type of thing)
  • White feather
  • Bubbly liquid of some sort
  • Big dungeon-like room
  • No word limit

However, this has turned into yet another series, but unlike the other two I'm working on, this one is going to be almost all sex -- although a slight plot did creep in. That's right, boys boinking boys for eleven chapters. Enjoy!

Just fyi: there's a reference throughout most of this story that comes from the first three eps of "Young Hercules" in which Strife passes himself off as a mortal called "Nysus Gaius" (pronounced *Nice-us* *Gyus*). In the H:tLJ ep "Promises", JT played a king called Boreaus. That bit of info will explain a couple things in later chapters.

Also, in my little world here, there's certain eps of H:tLJ that never happened. That includes, the "Hind Trilogy", "The End Of the Beginning", the "Armageddon Now" two-parter, and the entire 5th season. Strife never died. Iolaus never died. And no one's ever heard of Dahok. Now don't you wish TPTB took my view on things? <wg> Something else that you may want to know: simply because it's convenient for me, I'm accepting that most of the fourth season of Xena never happened, although I will be making referrence to one of the eps in later chapters.

Thanks to Poet and Feklar for looking this over for me. (BTW, in reference to the title, no, the characters are not going to break into a chorus of "Comedy Tonight" <g>.) Also, thanks to Mel Brooks and the writers of "A Fish Called Wanda" for the inspiration with a couple of the lines in here. And yes, that is a nod to the Discworld series in part 8.<wg>

Pairing(s): Autolycus/Strife

Disclaimers:
I don't own the little studmuffins, I'm just playing with 'em for a while. No money is being made and no infringement is intended.

Summary: By the time Autolycus had stumbled out of the tavern late in the afternoon, he'd been completely convinced that it was his destiny to take possession of that sword.
